Jenny Williams is a licensed psychotherapist (MFT, California) who has been in private practice since 1988. Jenny has helped many individuals, couples, and families overcome a variety of difficulties and challenges. Many people suffer from mood disorders where depression and anxiety may be getting the best of them. Others need help managing fears or phobias and must learn to overcome their social anxiety. Long-term relationships and marriages have their ups and downs, and couples’ therapy can be quite effective in helping both men and women to improve their communication skills.

Learn new tools and get the support you need
Since entering private practice in 1988, Jenny Williams has focused her approach to individual and couple’s therapy using a health-belief model. This theory assumes that when people can overcome certain obstacles, they generally want to do what it takes to feel healthier and happier. Clients come to therapy for a myriad of reasons (see Services). Jenny is trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, grief-recovery therapy, family systems therapy and recovery from addiction.

Fears and Phobias
why choose therapy?
Taking that first step and picking up the phone to make an appointment takes a lot of courage. Life is more complex than ever, presenting challenges for people in spite of their age, socioeconomic status, professional success, or intelligence. When individuals lack the skills or insight to process difficult life events, or continue to struggle with mood problems, anxiety, or relationship issues, therapy can be an excellent choice. Learning new tools and getting compassionate emotional support can be positive outcomes for someone who is going through therapy.
